Portaferry Gala 2000
For
the first year of the new Century the Gala enjoyed one of the hottest weeks
in it's history, with no rain at all,
for once the sports day actually went ahead as planned on the day it was scheduled
!
There were also a number of changes to the programme - Who Want's To Be A Gala Millionare being a very popular one.
As usual Friday night was THE big night in the town - though if you ask us - Thursday night (pitchin' the sheaf) was a close second.
