Well, it had to happen sometime and this year it did. After three weeks of non stop sunshine, it rained on Gala Sunday, so events moved to the community centre…well all except the paper boat race, of course…. For pictures, click here.

We are a Festival, based in Portaferry, Co.Down, in Northern Ireland. A family friendly event, running every July since 1967, we have a week long programme, which includes something for everyone, of all ages. Galafest 2018 is on the way………
Portaferry Gala is looking for an individual to volunteer for the post of funding officer, whist this year’s funding is in place, the role will involve planning and applying for next year’s Gala. Anyone interested in this role, please email admin@portaferrytown.com.
