Saturday 14th of August, the Pirate Cove opened it’s doors in Portaferry –  Tales of the Deep came from the Strangford Lough Mermaid, loads of buried treasure was just waiting to be found in the sand, plus pirate goodies from the treasure chest awaited those in fancy dress while Creatures of the Deep lurked in the Touch Tank.

No, you don’t ask, you just enjoy the fun atmosphere of The Po Removal.

Congratulations to Dumigans, the 2010 Portaferry Po winners.
Their float “Toy Story” beat off stiff competition to claim the prized Po on float Friday 2010.

Another packed afternoon in Anne Street as the “Portaferry Flyers” took to the streets. Well done to all those who took part and thanks to the guys from Rampage who were running demonstrations all afternoon. They were so impressed they’ve promised to come back and enter next year themselves !
