As darkness fell on the Square and\u00a0the rain clouds gathered above\u00a0\u00a0the River of Light making it&#8217;s way towards the Square, yes, of course, the Heavens opened.<\/p>\n<p>Did it Dampen our Christmas Spirits ? Not at\u00a0bit !!! The Gala Express chugged around the town all afternoon while Santa and his better half Mrs Claus, met the boys and girls and checked with Mums and Dads who&#8217;d been good and who&#8217;d been bad.<\/p>\n<p>A big thank you to everyone from Portaferry and beyond,\u00a0 who came along and filled the Square with music and light at 5pm on Saturday 5th.\u00a0also\u00a0to the crew from Castle Ward, who\u00a0kindly lent\u00a0 the Express\u00a0to us &#8211;\u00a0 without you it wouldn&#8217;t have\u00a0happened.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nAll the Gala Crew wish you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
