The Gala Committee would like to offer their deepest condolences to the family of Liam Gilmore.
Liam was one of the founding members of the Gala, nearly 50 years ago and for many was THE voice of the Gala throughout the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.

“Foodie Fun”
Saturday, July the 30th, saw the first in a series of events taking place place around the Ards Peninsula, until October, celebrating Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink.
Ards and North Down Borough Council, presented the first Peninsula Food Showcase.
Based around the Square, residents and visitors had the chance to sample local produce from artisan producers and were able to pick up some tips from top chefs at live cookery demonstrations.
