Gala Week kicked off with a fantastic family fun day out at St Patrick’s Park, Tractors, Town Challenge, BBQ and Great Weather made it a great start to Gala 2013.

Centred around the historic settlements of Portaferry and Strangford and the waters of the Lough, Strangford Lough Maritime Festival ran over the weekend of 1st and 2nd June
weather was great and the Viking Market and stalls attracted tourists from all over Northern Ireland.


Portaferry Gala made it into the top three of the NI4Kids Family Event of the Year Awards.
We didn’t win, but congratulations to the Cinemagic Film Festival on winning the overall prize.
We are delighted to have been nominated and to have made it into the top 3.
Well done to all our volunteers, sponsors and supporters. Maybe next year???
