Maybe the closed shops or factories? We have a large collection of videos donated to Gala a few years back, but would like to hear from anyone who can add to this. A few years back Portaferry had a real dusting of snow just before Christmas, will we have a Winter Wonderland this year?
It was fantastic to see so many people in the Square this evening, the singing by the School Choirs and the Adult Choir was just what everyone needed to get in the festive spirit and as for the cold – well what better way to start Christmas than with a touch of frost nipping your nose!

Christmas Tree switch on is December the 1st in the Square. Plus that afternoon in the Community Centre, The Gala Christmas Village will open it’s doors and Santa will be in town to meet all the good boys and girls, maybe some naughty ones too!…
