When the Ferry FM site started “broadband” was a pipe dream for Portaferry, as a result the pictures from 1995 to 2004 were kept to small file sizes to allow people to download them easily – we’ve now started to re-encode a lot of the video and to resize the pictures, yes, it’ll take a while, but keep an eye on the “Picture Archive” section over the coming month and you’ll see a difference in the earlier Gala sections.

As buildings all over the world turned green for St Patrick’s Day, so did the Portaferry Town Windmill. Sponsored by Fiddler’s Green it could be seen for miles around.

Well done to all the Leaders, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from Portaferry Sea Scouts. The Troops investiture took place on Friday evening, March 6th. Great to see so many involved in another community group for the town.

Saturday 7th of February the Portaferry Hurlers played in the All Ireland Club Championship Semi Finals.
They faced Kilmallock and the final score was
Portaferry 0-12 Kilmallock 2-19
Well done to all the squad -it’s no mean feat to get to an All Ireland Semi Final.
