A big Gala THANK YOU to everyone who came along on Sunday 21st to support the children bidding to be the 2010 Gala Christmas Star. We had a great evening in the Community Centre and this year’s winner was Oran Young.
Come along and hear Oran sing at the switching on of the Christmas Lights in the Square on December the 4th.
Well done to everyone who took part and who knows ? Maybe next year, it could be you !

Saturday 14th of August, the Pirate Cove opened it’s doors in Portaferry – Tales of the Deep came from the Strangford Lough Mermaid, loads of buried treasure was just waiting to be found in the sand, plus pirate goodies from the treasure chest awaited those in fancy dress while Creatures of the Deep lurked in the Touch Tank.
No, you don’t ask, you just enjoy the fun atmosphere of The Po Removal.

Their float “Toy Story” beat off stiff competition to claim the prized Po on float Friday 2010.
